Trained at the Penninghen art school and then at the Paris Belleville architecture school, Jean Bosc followed in his father’s footsteps and took over in 2015 with one of his brothers, the family agency Bosc Architects in Saint-Rémy de Provence. However, without abandoning the drawing, illustrations, and exhibitions.
In Charleval, the archi-artist explores a new path. He who lives at a thousand miles an hour felt the need not long ago to draw and express himself as he had never done before. Old papers accumulated by passion for years and all kinds of India inks inspired him to create Calligraphies architecturales, bringing out in an unconscious way all that he has seen, meditated, and sketched during twenty years in his professional life. His works take place in this astonishing castle, much more complex than it seems, he observes, “where yin and yang arise everywhere”.
