A graduate of the School of Applied Arts and the National Superior School of Decorative Arts in Paris, Sylvie Rivillon mainly exhibits abroad, notably in Taiwan and Korea. A change of scenery in Charleval where her works have found a place of choice on every floor of the castle, in the park as well as in the intimacy of the artist’s room she shares with Ariel Moscovici. There, she unveils her Hommes-boîtes, her sculptures Roulées par la mer, her Boîtes et noyaux as well as her paintings.
Spirit intact in a body scratched, abused, idea of ebb and flow, back and forth, waves, Sylvie Rivillon is sensitive to the passage of time. She expresses it with as much softness as strength in her creations made of bronze, cement, terra cotta or painted wood. Her paintings feed her sculptures and her works come to live in the castle of Charleval, a place of meetings, of artistic and human friendships.
